Aptus Therapy Services assures our patients prompt, high quality services with individual and personal attention by qualified professionals.
Aptus Therapy Services is an outpatient Rehabilitation facility that offers physical, occupational, and speech therapy services plus a variety of specialty programs such as aquatic therapy and Suit Therapy. Both of our McAllen and Rio Grande facilities are equipped to offer Aquatic Therapy.
Since the opening in 1996 of Aptus’ first location in Edinburg, Texas, Aptus has expanded to four other cities in the Rio Grande Valley. These facilities are located in Rio Grande City, Roma, McAllen, and it’s newest location in Mission, Tx.
Aptus employs approximately 90 clinical and administrative staff, which include physical therapists and assistants, occupational therapists and assistants, speech-language pathologists and assistants, rehabilitation technicians, administrative support staff, community educators, and management.

Aptus is a privately held company based in McAllen, Texas, Aptus Therapy Services was founded by Martha and Dennis Houghton in 1996, whom themselves are licensed physical therapists.
Martha Houghton, with her pioneering spirit, started APTUS and together she and her husband, Dennis, both physical therapists, provide an example for all to follow. Their dedication to their patients, employees and the surrounding communities is unsurpassable. Through their generosity and love for people countless lives are impacted. Truly, changing the quality of lives, isn’t that what it is all about? That’s what makes APTUS one of the BEST!

We use a multidisciplinary team approach to industrial rehab: we’ve brought together physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech language pathologists to provide the most efficient, effective treatment possible for our patients.
